Skyline Drive - Canon City

Arrive by 8:45 with KSU at 9:00 am.
We will be headed south through beautiful canyon roads and along mountain streams to Woodland Park. From Woodland Park to Florissant on 24. Then we head south on Teller County Road 1 to County Road 11. This will take us to Hwy 9 and ultimately to Route 50. From 50 we head east and go over Skyline Drive and eat lunch in Canon City. After lunch we head east on Route 50 to the Penrose exit. We go left on 115 in Penrose headed north to Colorado Springs. We head north on I-25 back to Denver. This is a very scenic day trip with lots of twisties, sweeping curves and some limited advanced riding. Most of the way requires an intermediate skill level of ability. Going over Skyline Drive is advanced riding skills and is optional. If you choose not to go over Skyline Drive, then you can go straight on 50 and meet us in Canon City for lunch. Please bring plenty of water to stay hydrated, suncreen, and layers to deal with variable weather.
