After the tour ends, somewhere between 4:30 and 5 pm, join us as we head over to nearby Ally's Bistro (http://allysbistro.com/) [PLEASE RSVP (https://www.meetup.com/Write-Stuff-Now/events/232708973/) separately]. Ally's is a wonderful restaurant with delectable and affordable food items, from salads and panini sandwiches to pizza and main entrees--with many gluten free choices including pizza. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea or a glass of wine or beer, while we enjoy a post-tour social hour discussion and dinner. (Bring money for dinner, and RSVP so we can reserve tables.)
For those so inclined, stay into the evening for live jazz music with the AHK Quartet, which starts around 6:30.
For Ally's Bistro location, go to the separate event posting and RSVP there (https://www.meetup.com/Write-Stuff-Now/events/232708973/).
Please RSVP to both events separately -- this, the Field Trip Tour, and the separate Post-Tour Discussion and Dinner (https://www.meetup.com/Write-Stuff-Now/events/232708973/), as I will reserve a table for us in the meeting room.
The monthly Author Success workshop usually meets the last Saturday of every month. It's for authors and aspiring authors who need help with the business side of books. Topics we cover include:
• pros and cons of self- and traditional publishing
• setting goals, creating a writing plan, fitting writing into life
• making writing a career
• book marketing, promotions, and publicity
• writing software
• building your author platform
• how to find a literary agent
Basically, all the nuts and bolts of successful authorship!
Not a critique session, Write Stuff Now is more of an affordable writer's coaching / mastermind / resource / support group. We help each other succeed at our goals.
We may plan some writing retreats, too!
Authors and aspiring authors, please join us at any time! Each meeting addresses specific opics, there's usually a handout, news about the industry, tips, and more.
We do ask you to either please RSVP or email me--my direct email is Laurel at Write Stuff Resources dot com (no spaces.) The room has a capacity limit. If we go over the limit, which I expect may happen soon, as our attendance keeps going up, we'll move to an alternate larger venue.
Got an idea for the group? Let me know if there's a topic or question you'd like covered or answered. Also, additional group leaders are always welcome! Just step up, please!
We celebrate our success as authors! Join us, won't you?
Warm Regards,
Laurel Kashinn

p.s. All of our meetings are, in essence, free, except for two things: we meet regularly at Fiddleheads and they do require us to buy something in exchange for using their very nice conference room. So, please, do get yourself coffee, tea, a smoothie, some bakery, sandwich, salad, a loaf of bread, etc. -- something-- and get there a little early if you can, to get your stuff ahead so we can start on time. Some Saturday mornings are extra busy and there can be a line. Secondly, I do have Meetup organizer dues, and am always happy to accept any freewill offerings towards that. Thanks!
p.p.s. My official website is http://WriteStuffResources.com. I'm the first certified ghostwriter in Wisconsin, offering all levels of help with book writing and editing--from coaching to full ghostwriting. I am also a long-time professional resume writer and entrepreneur / graphic designer / copywriter. I belong to the National Resume Writers Association, and can help individuals with resumes, cover letters, job hunt tips, and LinkedIn profiles--as well as business plan writing, brochure makeovers, direct marketing writing, etc. (I really LOVE designing business forms, too!)
In a nutshell I help people write their stories of success!
If you know anyone who needs help launching a career as a writer, writing a book, or needing a resume to find a job -- I offer one-on-one assistance, presentations, and workshops. I also belong to Business Networking International, a local chapter called BNI Business Stars (http://www.bniwis.com/chapterdetails.php?chapterId=7008&t=3ac41556d0ffa951372528d2a062ba2a8effa389c49df384c25931444d490175&name=BNI%20BNI%20Business%20STARs), which meets regularly for coffee and networking in Whitefish Bay. Great way to promote your business!
