“Finding Fulfilling Employment after Fifty” with Ginny Neumer, Job Developer

Details

You’re discouraged. Your job search has dragged on longer than you would have liked. And, you’re not the only one who is discouraged. Your spouse, children, brother, sister, and friends wonder why you haven’t gotten a job yet. When only 2%-3% of job seekers who apply online get jobs, is that the way you want to spend your time?

Rather than investing hours completing online applications, that time can be spent improving your attitude which translates into more positive results in cover letters, resumes, and, most importantly, interviews.

Join Ginny Neumer, former Job Developer / Job Coach, on Friday April 12th from 9:30 to 11:30A.M. for this game-changing approach to job seeking.

The focus of this presentation will explode myths about older workers and provide sure-fire tips on how to get interviews by using the tried-and-true methods that Ginny used and saw 450+ over-55 individuals get jobs during her career with a Dept. of Labor program designed to put people 55+ back to work.

Attendees will learn:

• Ways to improve your attitude which is critical for older job seekers
• Ways to determine which line of work to pursue if you’re unsure
• Ways to improve your resume that gets interviews
• How to conduct a phone screen or phone interview to ensure you get the face-to-face interview

Attendees Will Benefit: Job-searching for seniors is different. Trying something new, improving attitudes, and taking control of the entire process will boost confidence, shorten the job search, and can be used again, if necessary.
