Wednesday Lighting Workshop - Sunset Shoot

Details
This week we're going to be shooting out behind the gallery - I will be doing a demo on shooting into the sun and sunset shooting. I will show you how to use gels and color space to achieve amazing results. Shooting into the sun is my favorite way to shoot but it does require a lot of fire power. For the most part, we'll be using hard light just because we need as much light as possible out of the flash.
What you'll need:
Lens - I suggest you bring your regular portrait lens but also a wide angle lens if you have one.
Flash - If you have more than one (and a way to trigger them) - bring them.
Flashlight - When you're shooting into the sun it's hard to focus - a small flashlight will help with this.
Gels - If you own a color correction gel pack, bring it, we will be playing around with color space.
Also, we need to start early and work quickly - our window will be pretty short. I plan on getting there about 5:00. If you can't be there that early don't worry, come anyway. Also Because of the time crunch please be prepared to buddy up with another member and shoot each other, we can't afford to dilly dally as we will lose our light pretty quickly.
I will be there to walk you through it step by step.
I took this shot a few days ago out behind the gallery, hopefully we'll have an equally dramatic sky on Wed.
