There's still a wild west of messy map data in some parts of the U.S., but a new sheriff is in town...

Operation Cowboy is a global Mapathon on the weekend of Nov 23rd-25th 2012, where all mappers come together in local meetings and trace imagery the whole night long! It's a LAN-party like feeling for map enthusiasts, like the Night of the living maps (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Night_of_the_living_maps) but this time we are focussing on helping our community in United States (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/United_States).
