About This Event
Come swing a foam sword and make some new friends! Esgaroth Belegarth is hosting a Battle Day at Upper Ramsey Park — an afternoon of foam combat, battle games, and tournaments open to everyone.
What is Belegarth? Belegarth Medieval Combat Society is a full-contact foam fighting sport inspired by medieval and fantasy combat. Fighters use foam-padded weapons — swords, axes, spears, shields, and bows — to battle it out in a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. No experience necessary. No fancy gear required. Just show up ready to have fun.
What's Happening:
12:00 PM — Doors open & Raffle signup
(prizes: 1 belt + 1 set of bracers!)
12:30 PM — Introduction to Boffer Sports (perfect for first-timers)
1:00 PM — Battle Games
2:30 PM — Tournaments:
- Newby Tournament — fighters with 1 year or less experience
- Blademaster — 36" or shorter single blue shortword
- Ranger Tournament — snipe small targets with a bow
- Sword And Shield
Who Can Come? Everyone is welcome to come watch and cheer! Participants must be 16 or older to fight. Exceptions may be available depending on circumstances — reach out if you have questions.
