Join us for a relaxed day of paddling, floating, fishing, grilling, and community vibes on the shores of Cedar Creek Lake!

We're gathering at Sandy’s Lake Escape, a private short-term rental, to enjoy the lake, unwind, and connect with great people from North Texas Camping & Dining and The Social Scene at Cedar Creek Lake Meetup groups.

This is a casual, active, community-driven event—perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors, meeting new people, and soaking in the lake life.

• Spend the day paddling, floating, fishing, or making the trip to Sharkie’s Smashburgers—where you’ll find no seed oils, just locally sourced Wagyu beef. Whatever your pace, this adventure is yours to enjoy.
• Evening campfire & grill – Gather for a community-style meal, great conversation, and a relaxing evening under the stars.
• Optional tent camping - Locals, stay for a few hours or join the N. Texas Camping group overnight. Camping spots limited to 12 tents – RSVP required. Prefer an RV setup? Peace & Quiet RV Park is just around the corner with full amenities.

Yappy Hour begins with a bite at the food trucks and a relaxed gathering before we head out for a leisurely stroll along The Eight’s walking trails—ending with a little off-leash time at the dog park.

Feel free to bring your drink of choice in a non-glass tumbler—whether it’s wine, a sparkling spritz, herbal tea, or your go-to cooler. It’s a chance to enjoy good company, friendly dogs, and a beautiful park that makes you grateful to live where you do.

• Dogs must remain leashed outside the fenced dog park.
• This event is open to dogs of all sizes who are social, leashed, and accompanied by fabulous humans.

Let’s plan a day to unwind and have some holistic fun together at WorldSprings on May 17th.

This place is amazing – they have hot springs inspired by different parts of the world, from the Dead Sea to Japan, and even a cool cold plunge for the brave ones.

Here’s the plan:
Timing: 1-5 PM
Cost: expect to spend around $150 – cheaper if you book ahead, or you can pay at the door.
Carpooling: Let’s carpool to make it easy.
Lunch: If anyone’s up for it, we can grab a healthy bite nearby before diving into the pools.

• Relaxing Soaks: They have mineral-rich pools inspired by places like Iceland, Bali, and the Dead Sea. Each one has its own benefits like muscle recovery, stress relief, and better skin health.
