What we’re about
Cedar River Secular Society is an inclusive, welcoming community for non-believers and skeptics in Renton, South Seattle, and the surrounding area. Whether you’re an atheist, agnostic, humanist, or some other form of non-theist, we hope you’ll connect and engage in respectful conversation with the group both here and in person.
Some rules (because we’ve got to have them):
- People of faith are always welcome but proselytizing and disrespectful debate is not. Please do not try to convert us.
- We welcome all types of identities and aspire to be a safe place for traditionally marginalized groups. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, body shaming, and other forms of discriminatory conduct will NOT be tolerated.
- Be respectful. Conversation can lead to disagreement and disagreement is important. However, ad hominem attacks, aggressiveness, and otherwise disrespectful conduct is not welcome.
