Peaceable Kingdom screening at UNT

Details

We will be hosting a screening of this documentary at UNT's Media Library. Invite anyone who'd like to hear more about sustainable living, and why some choose the vegan lifestyle.

"A riveting story of transformation and healing, PEACEABLE KINGDOM: THE JOURNEY HOME explores the awakening conscience of several people who grew up in traditional farming culture and who have now come to question the basic assumptions of their way of life." Learn more about the documentary here: http://www.peaceablekingdomfilm.org/

Vegan food samples and recipes will be provided.

The Media Library is in Room 111 of Chilton Hall, which is located one block west of the Administration Building at the intersection of Avenue C and Chestnut. Call Christie at 318.564.2335 if you have trouble finding us.

Parking Info:

Chilton Hall is catacorner/diagonal and across the street from the Barnes and Noble on Ave. C! If traveling North on Ave. C from Eagle Drive, Chilton Hall is on the left. For free parking for the public, the owners of Sack & Save have indicated they don't mind if people park in their parking lot. The big parking lot NEXT TO Bowllery and Chicken Express on Ave. C and Eagle drive has no signs for tow away (and is the closest free parking I know of. I personally park there ~once a week for the last several months with no problems.). This is a few blocks from Chilton Hall. Highland drive also has metered parking ($1 per hour) and this is the closest location for visitors (within 1 block).

To get from Highland drive to Chilton Hall: travel East on Highland, then turn Left/North on Ave. C, and you'll see Chilton Hall on the left on the same block before you get to Chestnut. If you're traveling North on Ave C and you see Chestnut, you have traveled too far! Alternatively to metered parking (or parking right outside of the campus at local businesses with zero tow away signs), visitors can purchase a visitor pass for the day for $5 if they prefer and park in a parking garage: http://www.unt.edu/transit/visitor_info.html (http://www.unt.edu/transit/visitor_info.htmlFor)

For those with student, staff, or faculty permits, on this website page you can select the type of permit you have, and it will show where the parking is for that permit:
