We want to encourage you to attend our December workshops to work on material for our upcoming musical and dramatic events in 2014, despite your busy holiday schedules. Seize the moment and the opportunity! 2014 is fast approaching, and we'd love to hear AND WORK WITH YOU on your material and give you the chance to perform on some of our events. RSVP for the following DECEMBER workshops, listed separately:

Tuesday, December 3rd: 6-8 p.m.
Tuesday, December 10th: 6-8:30 p.m. WORKSHOP & STSANY 4TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. Refreshments.
Monday, December 16: 6-8 p.m.

WHAT TO BRING...

One or two songs and monologues: 2 copies of songs - one for you and me - with complete accompaniment, please! (not only the melody line or chords alone)

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE...

INDIVIDUAL COACHING: 15- 20 minutes of individual vocal and dramatic coaching on your material, on a first come-first served basis. Music may be of any genre from the classics to rock. BREATHING, Vocal warm-ups and group singing begin every meetup.

REPERTOIRE ADVICE for songs of any genre and language AND dramatic/comic monologues is provided at all meetups.

PLEASE NOTE: A MINIMUM OF FOUR PARTICIPANTS IS NECESSARY TO HOLD MOST MEETUPS, including the organizer. FYI: If you miss the deadline to RSVP, please send me an email to see if space is available. MEMBER website RSVP DEADLINE: MONDAY, DECEMBER 9 at 11:45 p.m. PLEASE: RSVP "yes" ONLY if you are sure you can attend, or send me an email if it's past the deadline. This avoids canceling meetups at the last minute. People plan ahead for and are looking forward to attending workshops and other events. This policy helps to avoid disappointments and inconvenience to members and your organizer. Everyone's time and aspirations are to be respected.

NON-MEMBERS may join and/or send me an RSVP email.

RSVP RULE: As a courtesy: If you RSVP-Yes or No and find you can OR cannot attend, please change your RSVP! Thanks for cooperating. Please be on time for meetups by arriving at least 10 minutes before they begin. The elevators are generally busy at that time.

SPECIAL HOLIDAY Meetup Fee: $10.00 at the door (exact amount in cash, please!). The Annual Membership Fee of $5.00 may also be paid at this event. You may bring up to two guests who should pay $5.00.

IF YOU WANT TO PERFORM and/or gain technical skills and confidence as a performer, come to meetups and contact me by email. Meetups are also a wonderful opportunity to meet, work with and socialize with fellow members.

WHAT'S AHEAD in 2014...

INTERNATIONAL CABARET NIGHT: Vocal and instrumental repertoire (all musical genres) and acting pieces in a cabaret setting. Tell us what you do!

SPANISH & LATIN AMERICAN FESTIVAL OF MUSIC, THEATRE & DANCE - SPRING 2014: Bring your songs and monologues to every meetup to audition for this festival;

CLASSICAL NIGHT: Songs, arias, scenes from operas and operettas, instrumental selections, etc., in a more formal setting;

ONGOING CONCERT SERIES for singers, actors, cabaret acts, and instrumentalists with some training and performing experience IN A FREE SPACE! Contact me for details.

VOICE LESSONS & COACHING are always available at a member discount. Please send me an email and provide your email address and phone number, as lessons must be arranged by phone.

PLEASE VOLUNTEER! Since we are a cooperative meetup group, volunteering as an assistant organizer will be much appreciated. Let us know your talents which may be helpful in keeping this group running for years to come: Graphic arts, fundraising, public relations, writing skills for our Newsletter, sponsorship, others you may suggest. Suggestions for special meetups, guest hosts, social and cultural events and volunteer venues are welcome. Your voice is important to us!
