What we’re about
Gluten-Free in New York City
We are the largest gluten free Meetup Group in the world. All gluten-free people are welcome including people with: celiac disease, gluten intolerance/sensitivity, autoimmune conditions, wheat allergy, Dermatitis Herpetiformis, and any aversions to gluten. Loved ones are welcome, too! You do not have to have celiac disease to be a member of this group!
Come join us to share information about celiac disease, gluten free living, gluten free restaurants and products, and general well-being. We can all relate to each other's journeys, joys, and struggles, and our meetups are a great time to get together and share our experiences.

See all- Happy Hour at BistangoBistango, New York, NY
Join Jessica for happy hour at Bistango at the Kimberly Hotel!
Wednesday August 20th
5:30pm
Bistango at the Kimberly Hotel
145 East 50th St, between Lexington and 3rd AveWhile Bistagno is not a 100% gluten free restaurant, currently all of the menu items are either naturally gluten free or can be made gluten free upon request. The staff takes great care in their food preparation and utilizes a separate prep area and dedicated fryer. Please contact Bistango directly or speak with your server regarding all allergen-related questions. To view their menu/pricing and learn more visit https://www.bistangokimberly.com/
Please note, we will be dining on the outdoor patio, which is equipped with fans.
Bistango offers happy hour 3-6pm daily, but they have kindly offered to extend their happy hour drink menu until 7pm for this event only. Any food ordered after 6pm will be from the regular dinner menu.
Please arrive on time, as this is a sit down event. All attendees will pay on separate checks. Each person must order at least one menu item.
Please only RSVP if you are committed to attending, as last minute cancellations often result in empty seats and can affect our ability to host sit down events in the future.
Seats are limited, so Jessica will be sending each individual who RSVPs a direct message to confirm their RSVP. If you do not reply within 48 hours, your seat may be transferred to an individual on the wait list. **Please check your settings and make sure you have notifications turned on so you do not miss this message**
Due to the rising cost of Meetup dues, attendees will make a $4 contribution to help with the group’s costs (cash/Venmo, at the beginning of the event).
Disclaimer: The NYC Celiac Disease Meetup Group and its’ event organizers cannot be held responsible for any injury, illness, or negative reaction that you may experience related to an event. Attendees acknowledge and accept that there is always a risk when dining outside of one’s home. It is always up to the individual attendees to do their own research, ask questions, read labels, and make their own decisions regarding where and what they eat. Policies and menus can change at any time, so direct all allergen-related questions directly to the businesses. Please stay home if you are sick or have been recently exposed to COVID-19.
