Solstice Traditions, Sun Gods & Goddesses. Sunday @ 6 pm

Welcome to the Summer Solstice and Midsummer Night's dreaming!
We will explore traditions of the Summer Solstice, including sacred fires, and Sun Gods and Goddesses.

Sun Goddess, you may wonder? Yes, from ancient times, across most of Europe and Asia, the Sun was honored as a Goddess. And the Moon was a God, often the son or husband of the Sun.

In Peru, this is the Winter Solstice. But because it is the sunny and dry season, it is also the time of Inti Raymi, the Festival of the Sun on June 24th. And the Sun there is the God Inti.

We can also journey inward and find our own inner light and place of balance.

Members will help select the topics and focus of our sessions.

Sunday evenings have a Celtic focus, Friday nights have a Peruvian or general shamanic focus.

Some themes we can include:

• The Celtic Wheel of the Year and seasonal ceremonies
• Celtic Shamanism and the Sacred Landscape (e.g. Stone Circles, and the Hollow Hills filled with Earth Light)
• Ancestors and the Otherworld
• Shamanism is an Earth-honoring spiritual path. Some sessions will include an offering of gratitude for Mother Earth, and a short ceremony inspired by Peruvian or Celtic shamanism to send her healing energy.

• Power Animals and Spirit Guides
• The dimensions of Sacred Space
• Shamanic dreamwork
• Meeting and learning from your Chakra Animals
• Soul-Retrieval and EMDR- Healing the Inner Child

Our groups are by donation. I am encouraging everyone to donate $10 to $30 for our beloved Pueblo Elder in New Mexico, Flo Yepa, to help with living expenses and to stay warm this winter. Prayers are always welcome as well.

Edie Stone is a Soul-Centered Counselor and Holistic Psychotherapist with 20 years of experience. She has been a Certified Shamanic Journey Guide since 1995. She has studied Past-Life therapy with Roger Woolger, Shamanic Dreaming with Robert Moss, and Peruvian Shamanism with don Oscar Miro-Quesada, along with many, many other trainings and teachers.

Edie has been offering ceremonies and trainings on Celtic spirituality since 1995. She taught workshops on Peruvian shamanism and Celtic spirituality in Colorado and Wales, 2000-2008.
Edie is also an approved teacher in the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition of Peruvian shamanism.
