3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration

Details
Officially celebrated on June 19th, Juneteenth is the oldest-known celebration marking the end of slavery in the United States, first recognized by the state of Texas in 1865. On June 17, 2021, President Joseph R. Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act, designating Juneteenth as a federal holiday.
The Center for Spiritual Awareness Ujima Ministry's free Juneteenth Celebration is scheduled for June 15, 2025, in West Sacramento. This family-friendly event will feature an afternoon filled with creativity, connection, and community. The activities will include: a Song Circle, Dancing, Poetry, Yoga, Acting, Painting, Beading, and more, all facilitated by experienced professionals. Whether you are an experienced singer or artist, a seasoned dancer, or just curious to learn and share, we welcome everyone to be part of this healing journey.
