Cyrano de Bergerac film screening (classic movie from 1950)

A joint production of The Center for Spiritual Living and Brookside Community Church, we're showing a free movie on the last Friday of Jan, Feb, and March, starting with the 1950 classic "Cyrano de Bergerac" starring Jose Ferrer.
Film will be shown at Brookside Community Church, 8 E Main St., in Brookside (Mendham), NJ. Enter on the right-hand side of the building.

Cyrano de Bergerac - 1950
Jose Ferrer won an Oscar for his role as the delightful Cyrano, a witty poet and expert swordsman in 17th century France. He shows extreme bravado in swordplay, but is afraid to confess his feelings to the woman he loves for fear she will reject him because of his long nose. When she falls for another man, Cyrano ends up secretly helping him woo her.

This film has been remade many times, including “Roxanne” starring Steve Martin and Daryl Hannah.
