Cancer Conversations

Details
You have a cancer diagnosis and people don't want to talk about it. Or they don't know how to listen. Or they say the most unhelpful things.
This peer group is for anyone post-diagnosis, whether in treatment or in remission. Because the thoughts that clog your mind shift with each test result, each treatment, each milestone, each year.
These virtual sessions are a safe place to air your questions, concerns and insights, as well as listen to others on the journey. Compassion and confidentiality, please. This is not a space to advocate for trials or shame for treatments. We're not looking for miracle cures. We only want to help each other live each brutal and beautiful day as best we can.
Join online from the comfort of home, alone or with a loved one (caregivers are stressed, too!). Participate for the full hour, or spend as much time as your energy allows.
Biweekly sessions are facilitated by Cierra McNamara, a palliative care community educator, mindfulness instructor, death doula, and former oncology massage therapist. Making space for heavy emotions is her forté. Looking for meaning in the middle of messiness is her passion.
