We will be meeting for our July Meetup on Tuesday, July 21st, at 5:30 PM in the Total Wine Conference Room. We hope you'll be able to join us!

## Diagonal Call Strategy – Generating Consistent Income with Options

This month we'll take an in-depth look at one of the most versatile and capital-efficient option strategies available—the Diagonal Call Strategy, often referred to as the Poor Man's Covered Call (PMCC).
This strategy combines the leverage of a longer-term call option with the income potential of selling shorter-term calls against it. It can be an excellent alternative to owning shares outright while generating recurring premium income week after week.
During this presentation, we'll cover:

  • Why diagonal calls can be an attractive alternative to traditional covered calls.
  • How to identify the best stocks and ETFs for the strategy.
  • Selecting the ideal long call (delta and expiration).
  • Choosing the best short call to maximize income while managing risk.
  • Position sizing and capital requirements.
  • Managing the trade, including rolling short calls and making adjustments.
  • Profit targets, exit strategies, and risk management.
  • Real-world trade examples and common mistakes to avoid.
  • How the strategy fits into an income-focused options portfolio.

Whether you're new to diagonal calls or looking to refine your approach, you'll leave with a practical, rules-based trading plan that you can begin using immediately.
If you're unable to attend in person, the meeting will also be broadcast live via Zoom.

As always, there will be plenty of time for questions, discussion, and sharing ideas with fellow traders.
After the meeting, everyone is invited to join us for an informal dinner and trading discussion after the meeting. It's always a great opportunity to get to know fellow traders, share ideas, discuss the markets, and simply enjoy some good conversation in a relaxed setting.
We look forward to seeing you on July 21st!
