Central Avenue Church, a Postevangelical spiritual community

We do "church" differently here because most of us have been hurt by religion. We are have atheists, agnostics, SBNRs, "exvangelicals" who are figuring it out, and people who still call themselves Christian.

Each Sunday, we come together in Pasadena to build community, heal religious wounds, seek the sacred, and discuss how to live out our values.

We don't preach; we share ideas.

Our time together centers on discussion: the pastor gets it started with his/her/their talk, but then the rest of us take over: we get curious, ask questions, offer different perspectives, share our lives, and demand relevance from our beliefs, whatever they may be.

Gatherings also include music, readings, communion, meditation, and prayer.
