Let's play Ingress in Park Slope!

Details
OK, so I realize that this group has been inactive for a few months, and what better way to get out of this deep freeze (both figuratively and literally) than playing Ingress? For those of you that play Ingress, obviously doing it cooperatively (and it really doesn't matter which faction you're in - the strategy differs, but you can still play together!) is the way to go about creating more links and fields and capturing more portals.
I'm only a level 3 at current, and I'm trying to level up - so getting some level 8+ (where AP doesn't matter anymore) would be awesome to get some of the newer people like myself the ability to build links with higher level resonators and fields.
For people that think I've just been speaking Greek, this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6-JAm3NCAk) does a great job of explaining the game. It's available for both Android and iOS from the respective app stores. A word of warning though - since it is a GPS based game, it will drain your battery FAST. I highly recommend purchasing something like an Anker external battery pack (this is a good one (http://smile.amazon.com/16000mAh-Portable-Charger-External-Technology/dp/B00N2T7U90/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1424793251&sr=8-8&keywords=anker+battery)) for your phone if you're going to seriously play the game.
Newbies as well as experienced players are welcome, and if you haven't played the game before I highly recommend the video above to get a basic idea of what you're doing, and of course I'll answer any questions that folks might have.
I'm going to attach a poll to this so I have an idea of what levels of players and factions are coming.
If the weather doesn't permit on this day, I'll cancel and reschedule.
