Hackathon - Join us analyze data about water quality in our area

Hi all,

Please join us on Thursday June 21, 2018 @5:30PM to analyze some data and get insights about water quality and availability in the Santa Barbara area. We have being collaborating with SB Channelkeeper (https://www.sbck.org) to get some very interesting data sets and we will try to help them by getting some cool data analysis and visualization during our event.

This event would not have been possible without the involvement of several of our members. We really would like to thank: Dan, Elliott, Irene, Jamie, Mike and Tyler. Thank you for taking the time to brainstorm on potential topics and come up with awesome ideas for this hackathon, as well as getting involved in data sets selection/screening and helping with the event!

We also would like to thank Jenna from SB ChannelKeeper for taking the time to meet with us, as well as Workzones (www.workzones.com) that graciously offered to let us use their lounge for free.

Finally, we would like to stress there is no programming skills requirements to attend this event. We will group people in teams, so if you are starting to use R and would like to improve your skills, we strongly encourage you register; this is a really great way to learn from others.
