August Bowling

Saturday, August 15th. 6:00 pm. Potter’s Alley (in Morton).

This month’s bowling event includes: Unlimited games and your shoe rental, for just 10 dollars.

Food and drinks are available too. Both are optional. They make a great pizza. Anyone who’s interested can chip in on our shared pie, pitcher of beer, or favorite soft drink. Or… buy something solo from the lounge that will be only for you. Or… simply bowl (on an empty stomach and dry lips), it’s up to you.

Sign up today. If you want to bring guests, no problem, we have room. I’ve reserved an alley just for us. It’s 6 people per lane, and we can add more lanes if the group is larger. When you show up, tell the front desk that you’re with John (me) from the Meetup group and they’ll issue you shoes and tell you our lane assignment. Pay the cashier 10 bucks, find a ball (plenty of free-to-use house-balls to choose from), and we’ll bowl the night away!

Saturday nights are Glow Bowling at Potter’s Alley. The house lights get dimmed, the black lights come on, and everything that is white glow’s. The mood is electric (all puns intended!). For extra fun, think about your wardrobe and wear something that stands out.

Have you never bowled? Come give it a try. No special skills required, just a functional arm.

Has it been a long time since you last bowled? The game hasn’t changed, but the scorekeeping has - it’s all done automatically these days, no more pencils, no more little ‘x’s, no more math to perform.

Are you afraid of the competition? Don’t be, we aren’t giving out prizes, breaking into teams, or laughing at gutter balls, it’s just pats on the back and hurrah’s whenever you knock over those helpless little pins.
