Drake Lake Trail, Jim Edgar Panther Creek Wildlife Area

This hike will wind along the shoreline of Drake Lake, which is in the Panther Creek Fish and Wildlife Area west of Springfield. The lake is about 35 minutes from Springfield. The entire trail around the lake is 4 miles, alternating between woodland paths and open mowed walkways, with nice views of the lake as you hike. We saw some beautiful sunflower fields last year, so hopefully we’ll get lucky and see them again this year!
