Sangamon Valley Trail, Green Valley to the Sangamon River

Super-easy trail, as it's a flat rails-to-trails path. These wide paved paths are not challenging but are nice for walking and chatting. In the past, we've met at the Stuart Dog Park and carpool to the trailhead, but for this walk we will meet AT the trailhead on Green Valley Drive. The parking lot is small, so I encourage carpooling. Our walk will go north and cross the huge bridge over the Sangamon River, then continue on for another mile or so. We should be able to get in 4 miles for our hike.
Look for my blue Nissan Frontier in the parking area at Green Valley. Please park close to each other to allow as many vehicles as possible. Please be on time as I would like to start promptly at 5:30. If you show up late you can catch up by heading north on the trail.
