Carpenter Park

Carpenter Park is a 434 acre nature preserve near the Sangamon River on the northeast side of Springfield. Crisscrossed by several trails, it features classic Illinois woodland scenery and some nice sandstone bluffs along the river. We'll have a mix of typical Illinois woodlands, some open prairie and sandstone cliffs lining the river's edge. We will piece together several trails for a total of around 3 miles.
