Governor's Trail - South - Jim Edgar Panther Creek Wildlife Area

The Governor's trail is a 26 mile Equestrian trail of which we will hike about 6.5 miles. We will meet at the Q-4 parking lot situated between the 9-mile north loop and the southern 11- and 6- mile loops. There are pit toilets available at the parking lot or at the park office on your way in, but nothing on the trail. I have put together various trails and shortcuts to get us a 6.5 mile loop. There will be steep hills, sun and shade at different parts of the trail. This is not a beginner level hike. Please bring plenty of water, a change of shoes for afterwards, and hiking poles if you use them.
