Kubernetes: From Pipeline to Ingress

Join CIJUG this month as Andreas Christianson from Source Allies demos deploying a Java application end-to-end on Kubernetes. He will set up a namespace and service account, then build and run a CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions to push a container image to GitHub Container Registry (GHCR). With the image built, we’ll deploy it to a Kubernetes cluster and expose it securely via HTTPS Ingress.

Andreas brings over 20 years of software development experience and currently focuses on backend systems, cloud-native architectures, and Kubernetes. He’s a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) with deep experience in production operations, developer experience, and DevOps culture.

This session will touch on Java, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, GHCR, and cert-bot—and is a great opportunity to see practical Kubernetes concepts in action from start to finish.
