Details
Join us for our May CIJUG meetup as we welcome Daniel Hinojosa from No Fluff Just Stuff for an in depth look at what is new in Java.
This session, 'What’s New In Java Live: Simplicity and Vector API', explores how Java continues to evolve by becoming easier to use while pushing performance forward. Daniel will walk through features designed to simplify how programs are written and executed, alongside APIs that unlock modern hardware capabilities.
Topics include Simple Source Files and Instance Main Methods, Launching Multi File Source Code Programs, the built in Java WebServer, Value Objects, and the Vector API. Together, these features reduce setup overhead while enabling developers to build efficient and high performance applications.
You will learn how Java now supports rapid development workflows without sacrificing power, making it easier to write, run, and scale modern applications.
