This event is for those who want to practice conversing in the Japanese language with others of similar skill levels. You will be seated with another attendee of similar skill level. Only family-safe-topics are allowed.
We are inviting those whose mother tongue is English. If you are fortunate enough to speak more than one language, your native language in this context refers to the language your mother first spoke to you before other languages you now speak developed. This holds true regardless of which language you are currently most comfortable with, as long as it is also your mother's native language
Rules of Participation:
- Your Smile!
- Appropriate attire.
- Take the initiative in conversation by speaking the foreign language. Be capable of delivering a speech in Japanese language only on various topics in 敬語 style (polite/formal language).
🛒Cost: Purchase food or drink from the venue.
Venue Specific:
Parking is for attendees only. The gate closes at 11pm.

If any of the following conditions apply to you and you're interested in learning the Japanese language and culture, please contact me directly or introduce yourself as such at the event before 8 pm.
- Your native tongue, as defined above, is German, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, or Bulgarian, and can speak and comprehend in 敬語 style of Japanese.
- You're a .Net developer.
- You've studied Japanese language more than a year, can speak in Keigo style, and lived in L.A. for less than 2 months.

今のレベルに達するまでいろいろ大変だったでしょうか。同じ言語を勉強してきたもの同士でお茶でもしながら会話してみませんか。
After years of learning a foreign language, now it's time for fun! The purpose of this event is to gather with similarly skilled people and share resources. When it comes to conversations, we will explore non-daily, specific topics to improve both vocabularies and general communication skills, moving beyond monotonous patterns. The entire session will be conducted in the Japanese language only, unless a Japanese international who wishes to engage in a language exchange-style conversation happens to join us.
