Should humanists eat animals?

Details
I was delighted with the response to my talk last year, and by the fact that some people became vegetarian as a consequence. I had a lot of feedback and questions from people who either wanted to reduce their meat eating, or become entirely vegetarian.
So I have updated my talk to include practical advice, nutritional information, recipe ideas and menu plans. These will be available as take-aways, And there will also be some samples of meat free alternative foods for you to sample.
Whether you are a non-meat eater, considering cutting meat out of your diet, or simply interested in the moral arguments, I look forward to seeing you and having a fruitful (and vegetable-full) debate.
As well as exploring the moral questions surrounding the issue of killing other creatures for food, Phil will also give practical advice on how to move away from a meat based diet, with food samples, nutritional advice and high quality recipe booklets from both Animal Aid and Quorn, for everyone who attends.
As a Humanist, Phil believes in the 'Human Project' and is fascinated by the incredible ingenuity of our species. However, he doesn't believe that the future success of the human race should be at the expense of the other species that share this planet, and the health of our environment. He argues that, apart from the moral questions about killing and eating animals, the best thing that each of us can do for the planet, is to become vegetarian.
