CLH Talks: Living with Death without God with award-winning writer Valerie Jack

Central London Humanists are delighted to welcome this month's guest speakers, Valerie Jack and Emily Cummin.

Valerie is an award-winning writer of poetry, theatre, non-fiction and fiction, whose life-long death anxiety and atheism led her on a quest to meet non-religious people facing loss and illness.

Valerie joins CLH to present the themes and findings of her latest book: Living with Death without God.

She will share some of the stories and experiences gathered while writing her narrative non-fiction book, which explores how non-religious people can find comfort, hope and meaning in the face of death.

Emily Cummin is the Founder and CEO of Untangle. Emily launched Untangle after the death of her grandpa Harold. There wasn't much bereavement support out there - so she decided to create her own. Previously, she worked as a business strategist for healthcare start-ups and innovation teams at FTSE100 Companies.

Untangle rebuilds life after loss. Their AI driven community-app helps families to navigate the emotional and logistical impacts of death. They're currently supporting 50,000 members with personalised content, care and coaching - from peers and vetted professionals.
