External event: Barn Hill walk
Details
Join our long-time CLH member Sapna Ramnani, and her beloved dog Boogie Bear, for a relaxing weekend walk around the lovely woodland and hill scenery of Barn Hill in Wembley.
She first discovered this beautiful woodland only a few months ago, when she was given a new electric wheelchair, and is eager to share its beauty and tranquility with the CLH community.
Location:
Meet near 83 Barn Hill, Wembley, HA9 9LN, London. The nearest tube stations are Preston Road (Metropolitan Line), and Wembley Park (Jubilee Line, Metropolitan Line).
Please see here for the map pin of the exact meeting point:

This will be both the starting point and finishing point.
Walking route, and pub lunch afterwards:
The walk will begin by aiming first for the Barn Hill scenic point, continuing afterwards to Barn Hill Pond. From that point, the route will take the wider circular path back around through the woods and return to 83 Barn Hill.
Please allow up to 2 hours for the full walk. The actual walking time should be shorter, but this allows for a gentle pace, taking photos, enjoying the views, stopping by the pond, and keeping the group together.
The paths can be uneven and muddy, especially after rain, so please wear comfortable walking shoes or trainers with good grip. Bring bottled water, and dress appropriately for the weather.
After the walk, the group will head to a pub nearby for a drink and something to eat.
It should be a lovely chance to get some fresh air, enjoy the scenery, spend time together, and finish with a relaxed pub visit.
Timings:
The group will gather at the meeting point at 2pm. The walk should finish back at the same point at 4pm. After which the group will be in the pub for another 1-2 hours.
