You're not alone.

Early Summer Crack Rib and Pie Run

Pine Cliff Park

Welcome back to another outdoor BBQ season! Just like previous years, we will gather up in Frederick and head up to Frontier BBQ for a tasty lunch then make a stop at Catoctin Mountain Orchards for a Crack Pie desert - two of our favorites on the same run! We will meet around 9:30 and visit a bit so we can leave promptly at 10am to take our early summer route of twisty backroads for a leisurely lunch at Frontier Barbecue. About 1-130pm, we will head back toward Frederick and stop at Catoctin Mountain Orchards for some pie or other baked goodies for desert. (Anyone not wishing to continue on for pie, Route 15 which connects up with I-70 to Baltimore and I-270 to the DC Beltway is nearby). Catoctin Mt. Orchard (http://www.catoctinmountainorchard.com) makes these pies (aka crack pies) that are AMAZING!!!!! We will stop for a bit to chat and nibble on whatever we find there then everyone is welcome to leave at their own pace for home. A couple of notes for everyone, I cannot predict the weather this far out, but we do have a covered pavilion at Frontier but it is outside. BBQ Menu: (http://www.frontierbarbq.com/newfrontier2015_transparent_002.htm) NOTE: If you plan on ordering ribs, please comment on this run with how many racks you will need so I can reserve them in advance, they do have incredible BBQ and other smoked treats, but ribs need to be pre-ordered.
