Frog Walk: Hopedale Parklands
Details
Come look for frogs in Hopedale Parklands! Here's the plan:
- If you have frog-themed clothes, wear 'em!
- If you have bug spray, wear it! It can get buggy (or, in frog language, "yummy").
- Meet up by the entrance at 11:00 (it's right where google maps says it is. Look for me there. I'll be wearing a frog hat)
- Greet, introduce ourselves, wait for late arrivers, etc.
- Depart at 11:15 sharp (it's a walk through the woods, so showing up late unfortunately doesn't work too well).
- Look at the frogs. (wow!)
- Admire the frogs. (wow!)
- Forfeit all mortal possessions to the frogs. (wow!)
You'll be able to find me by looking for the guy by the entrance billboard in a frog hat.
Rules:
- Be kind to each other (No bigotry, no harassment, etc.)
- Be kind to the frogs
- Don't hurt 'em
- Don't pick 'em up (I know the temptation but they don't like it and it exposes them to unnecessary risk)
- Do take pictures! They're silly lil guys and they deserve to be admired.
I hope this can be a fun event where people in central Massachusetts who like frogs can get to know each other and look at frogs together. If it goes well, I hope to set up recurring frog walks in other places.
Unfortunately, I am not a frogologist. I probably know slightly more than average about frogs, but I'm neither a tour guide nor an expert. What I do know is where to find frogs in this specific park. Of the dozen or so times I've been, I've only once failed to find any. So you're in good hands!
