Huge Tax Increase for Lexington County? Again

Huge Tax Increase for Lexington County? Again
Thanks to Talbert Black for informing us of this proposed tax increase in Lexington County.
We are told Councilman Banning wants a tax increase of $35 MILLION, and to make matters worse, does not know how he wants it spent.
They suggest setting up a study committee to determine where they need to spend it. They want it placed on the ballot, but you can be sure that they will use our tax money against us to "educate the voters on the necessity of this tax increase", after making promises of money for this community and that community. They don't even know how they'll spend it!
Please call Bill Banning and your Councilman and demand that there be no tax increase.
Do you know where your Councilman gets his/her hair cut, buys gasoline, does business?  Do these folks know about this proposed increase?  SPREAD THE WORD, FOLKS.

Would you say this is gouging the taxpayer?  What is the reason for a tax increase?
We are told that money is promised to county communities to buy up their support for this proposal.  Guess whose pockets this money is to come from. Sounds a little like DC, doesn't it?
You will have the greatest impact if you call or talk personally with your Councilman and also Councilman Banning.  Let them know that we understand what they are up to.
I am not much for on-line petitions, but
we are also asked to sign the petition against the increase at this location:
