Weekend Explorers: EXPLORING THE WILDEN PONDS

The next outing in the “Weekend Explorers” series will take place on Saturday (Feb. 28th). We will meet for sign-in at 9:30 AM at Still Pond Park. (See: https://maps.app.goo.gl/2bP4ud3fFiCLoCBW7 )
On this outing, we will stroll around Wilden, mostly focused on birds, although we’ll also be watching for early buttercups. As of Tuesday, Walroy Pond was mostly ice-free with abundant waterfowl. By Saturday, with more warm weather, I expect (hope?) Cat-tail and Still Ponds will also be open and host to an array of early migrant ducks
Bring binoculars, boots and clothing appropriate to the weather..
