CONC's Weekend Explorer's (Sun May 31st)
Okanagan Bird and Critter Count

As part of CONC's annual Okanagan Mt. Provincial Park Bird and Critter Count, we'll explore the first part of the CN Trail. We plan to cover only 1-2 km of the trail at most, with the focus on botany, bugs, beasts and biodiversity. The pace will be the "botany" pace, which is way slower than "birding" pace, which is already way slower than hiking pace. There is a moderate hill on the trail to begin with, but it levels out, and we won't be going quickly.

Les will be our leader. Meet at 9 AM, Sunday, May 31, at the main Okanagan Mt. Prov. Park parking lot (3 km south of Bertram Creek Regional Park) on Lakeshore Rd. We'll be done and back to the parking lot before noon.

NOTE: Participation in our activities is voluntary and by joining an outing you acknowledge the risks of injuries that may arise. Full membership in our club includes coverage for Public Liability Insurance, but note that others are not covered. Information to become a full (paid) member can be found on our website (https://okanagannature.org/) and others will be asked to sign a waiver to participate in our outings (https://okanagannature.org/Visitor%20Waiver%202022.pdf).
