We'll meet at the downtown Kelowna public library. In meeting room 3, which is in front of you at the top of the stairs. (I double-checked I got it right this time!)

Our guest for this event is Angela Douglas, author of Every Fall (January 2025), former Director of Communications for the Federation of BC Writers, former VP of Sisters in Crime Canada West, and the founder of Eyes on Books. She comes from a Marketing Communications background— but says, "Let’s be honest, no one knows everything. And that’s precisely the point."

Marketing. A dirty word, maybe? But a necessity for all writers, whether you are traditional, hybrid or self-published. My background in marketing has been invaluable in the launch of my debut novel, but I have also learned many helpful and unexpected things along the way. The first one being: you can't do everything, and you can't know everything. This was a hard lesson to learn! I would love to chat more with you all about marketing, your experiences and plans thus far, and what you would like to know more about. I have built my own websites, run campaigns on many social media platforms, been a guest on blogs, podcasts, TV and more. I look forward to chatting about marketing with you!

Angela will talk for about 10 minutes and then we'll have a Q&A style gathering. So think about your questions in advance to make the most of this session!
