Tracking Meetup: Mock Evaluation Format (Please keep your RSVPs updated)

Details

Please keep your RSVPs up to date! If you book and can’t come, change your RSVP. We have waitlists for each meeting now so if you dont update your rsvp, you prevent someone else from coming.

This meeting will be formatted as a mock cybertracker Evaluation. We’ll have some tracks and sign marked with flags. Folks will cycle through each station and guess who left the sign and what is going on at each station. We’ll discuss each station at the end and reveal the answers. Test your tracking knowledge!

Less than 1.5 mile walk. Bring water if you like. This is a collaborative event, where we’ll all observe and talk about any track and sign we find.

We’ll be in the lot until around 11:10, after which we’ll be slowly meandering away from the lot to look at tracks. So, if you’re running late, it’s likely that we’re not far out, but plan to arrive accordingly, as our meetup isn’t very long so we like to get started soon after 11.

FAQ:

Can I bring my dogs?

-One or 2 well-behaved dogs on a leash total in the whole group is fine. If everyone brought a dog, wildlife tracking and viewing would be a bit chaotic.

I'm by the bridge. Where is everyone?

-Keep driving til you see more vehicles parked at the lot near the fork in Seismore rd. You'll see us.

Is this a class?

-No. It's a collaborative event where everyone shares what they know about any animal tracks or sign we see. Lots of learning normally happens as a result!

Can I bring my family/kids?

-Yes! Add them as guests on the RSVP and they're welcome to join you.
