Canyon Creek Meadow Loop, 7.4 mi, 1597' e.g., 1 night

Details
Canyon Creek Meadows is absolutely one of my favorite trails. See the posted picture? That is exactly what we'll see! We'll be hiking right up to the base of Three Fingered Jack. Upon arrival, we'll hike up a small hill behind us, make camp, and then go exploring. Behind the cinder cone to our north is a mountain tarn (it's a mountain lake formed in a cirque of a glacier, often with colorful water due to glacial sediment). I've seen the water to be turquoise, and sometimes brown due to rainfall.
Hiking poles are recommended. The pace will be moderate, but with timely breaks along the way.
Dog friendly, IF your doggie is not one to bark at every little thing, especially at night.
We are starting early because it's highly likely that the parking lot will be nearly full by the time we get there. It is an extremely popular hike, especially on the weekends.
If we're lucky, we'll see the herd of 20 mountain goats. Have a pair of lightweight binoculars? Bring 'em.
What to bring? Your lunch, the 10 Essentials, water filtration, and sun protection. There are water sources enroute-so there is no need to carry a lot of water.
Upon returning to the rendezvous spot, we may elect to debrief at the Barn Food cart lot.
I'll need a couple of drivers with NW passes to volunteer their vehicles. It takes approximately 40 minutes to drive there. Everyone chips in $5 for gas.
