Lovers Camp to Sky Lake Loop- 2-3 nights

This 17.4-mile loop trail is near Somes Bar, California. Though it's a popular trail for backpacking, birding, and camping, we will still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of the day--especially as we begin our hike on a Thursday.

This hike was suggested to me by the organizer of a Shasta-Trinity hiking group. He gushed on about the beauty.

Day One: Lover's Camp Campground, Camp #1
Day Two: 6 miles to High Lakes, Camp #2
Day Three: 5.2 miles to Marble Mtn summit, to Shadow Lake, Camp #3
Day Four: 5.8 miles back to the trailhead and vehicles.
