That's a current pic posted (Feb 23rd) shows what's there. Let's go!!!

This would be an ideal event for those that are new to snowshoeing. They, along with poles can be rented at REI. I think...$15 a day. If you are a newbie, make mention of that in the comments area below the post.
.
As snowshoeing is an aerobic activity, and this hike may be the first real winter outing for many of you, the pace will be slow to moderate. Layer up folks!!

What to bring? a daypack, the 10 Essentials, an extra set of glove or mittens, socks (placed in a baggie), and a pair hand or foot warmers, a rainshell, one-two liters of water, perhaps a warm beverage, and your lunch along with a couple of snacks. If it's a sunny day, and let's hope it is, DO bring sunglasses.

I will need a couple of drivers with sno park passes to volunteer their vehicles. It takes approximately 35-40 minutes to arrive at Dutchman's Flat. Everyone chips in $5 for gas.
.
The plan is to do an out and back (as the crow flies; it's 4 miles total).
*There is a vault toilet at one end of the Dutchman's Flat parking area, as well as another up at Todd Lake (though I might have to dig it out). Lunch at the lake. Optional, but sure makes for a better experience: that's bringing a folding or rolled foam pad or a yoga mat to sit on in the snow. After lunch, perhaps a little exploring and then a return to the nordic center and our vehicles.

Upon our return to the Pour House Grill, we may wish to debrief.

The end time is approximate.
