ADHD and Autism are neurological disorders that can have overlapping or opposing traits. The combination can occur, known as AuDHD, and presents unique challenges, and an accurate diagnosis is needed for effective support. This talk will cover the behaviors that help clinicians distinguish whether a child has an ADHD diagnosis vs. an autism and ADHD diagnosis (AuDHD). We will also cover overlapping and unique challenges that children with ADHD and AuDHD face in their daily life, and end with a review of various treatments and supports available.
