Central Texas Portrait Collective – Jan 14th Meetup

Hey Central Texas creatives! Let's shoot some portraits.

When: Wednesday, January 14th, 5:00 PM

Where: Tantra Coffeehouse (217 W Hopkins St, San Marcos, TX)
We'll meet at Tantra around 5:00 PM to say hello and get to know each other, then head out around 5:30 PM for a relaxed walk to nearby parks and around town to shoot portraits. We'll stop whenever inspiration strikes to practice lighting, poses, and creative ideas.

The format is open and collaborative: people can take turns being photographed and shooting, photographers can work with each other, or bring friends who want to be in front of the camera. The goal is simple—practice, collaborate, and get comfortable both behind and in front of the lens.

Parking Note: Tantra's lot is for customers staying inside, so please use nearby street parking or public lots since we'll be leaving shortly after meeting up.

What to Bring: Your camera (any type works), comfortable shoes for walking, and willingness to experiment. Rain or shine—we shoot in whatever conditions we get.

This meetup is about doing, not perfecting. All skill levels welcome—whether you're just starting out or you've been shooting for years. Membership is free. The only expectations are respect, kindness, and showing up ready to create.
