July 4th Hotdog Hike (6-7 miles)

Happy Birthday USA 🇺🇸 Celebrate your freedom to hike! Join CVT for a 6-7 mile local hike starting in Forest Hill Park. We'll walk through Reedy Creek and Belle Isle and will explore in the general vicinity downtown. We'll stick to wider trails so that we can accommodate more people. At the end of the hike, join us for some 4th of July trail magic in the form of an all-American hotdog cookout! CVT will provide dogs, condiments, rolls, and ice cream treats for dessert. I know many of you have other shenanigans to get into, so we'll keep it short and sweet.
Come in your best red white and blue hiking attire.
Hike distance: 6-7 miles
Terrain: dirt trails, some pavement
Difficulty: moderate (heat)
Wear broken in hiking shoes or boots. Bring plenty of water and snacks, as well as sunscreen.
Optional: a chair for post hike hangout
Dogs allowed: yes but it may be very hot. Use your best judgement. Mine will stay at home in the AC.
