Little Bites of A.T. Hikes Part 31 & 32: 2 days from Peaks of Otter

We have already completed 200+ miles of the A.T. in VA and are continuing south.
We are now too far for single day hikes so will stage for 2 days.

Sat shuttle hike from Apple Orchard Falls to Jennings Creek - 12.7 miles
Note: this is a HARD HIKE - 8.x miles in is Bryant Ridge Shelter if you prefer to backpack and spend the night on the trail.
Otherwise we will take rest break at the shelter and continue on.
Sun shuttle hike from Pettit's Gap to Apple Orchard Falls - 7.x miles
There are many alternative hikes in the area if you prefer.
If not enough folks book, this will then be a couple of out and backs.
Pace will be closer to 2.0-2.5 mph as necessary.
Random meeting at the trailhead does not work for this series.
I will match the group’s pace to that of the slowest hiker.
Take note that this is a slower pace than some other hike series CVT does.
13 miles @ 2.2 mph = 6 hours of hike time.
Typically have a group dinner Saturday nite, but we will plan
as date gets closer depending on group preferences.

REMINDER that signing up does not get you a campsite !
RSVPS close Thursday June 18th (day before) the event. This provides time for organizer to organize, settle things, and notify all of group plans. Organizer will send a DM THURSDAY with final info.
Please check your Meetup Site settings so that you get emails from event organizers.
If you cannot sign up it most likely means that event is full, or you + number of guests exceeds max amount, or RSVPs are closed.
