Jamestown Paddle (Back River/Sandy Bay) kayak rentals available

Launching from James City County Marina, heading down Powhatan Creek, to Back River and Sandy Bay and back again.

The typical 8 miles (4 out and 4 back) and more or less depending on how group feels.

The James City County Marina is located on the historic Powhatan Creek, behind Jamestown Island and across the street from Jamestown Settlement and Jamestown Beach Event Park.

rentals available and there is a $3 marina fee.

DETAILS:
Meet at the parking lot for paddle craft put in.
Rentals open at 8:00.
Let's be on the water at 10:30AM.

NO Carpool for this hike: meet at the put-in

Just to reiterate, if forecast is for multiple hours of rain and lightning the event will need be rescheduled as there is nowhere that is not exposed on the open water. Therefore final call is always in AM a couple of hours before put in.
