Sierra Club Birthday Social

Join Sierra Club Central Florida in celebrating its 133rd birthday! On May 29, we invite you to a fun social event commemorating the founding of Sierra Club! Join us from 6-8 pm at The Acre in Edgewood for lawn games, a quick round of trivia, complimentary cupcakes, and camaraderie.

Founded in 1892 by John Muir to protect Yosemite National Park, Sierra Club now consists of 64 chapters and hundreds of local groups dedicated to providing opportunities for people to explore, enjoy, and protect wild places. Here in Central Florida, the local group serves Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Lake counties, hosting educational speaking events, leading hikes, and speaking up at public hearings.

The event will start at 6 pm, with formal remarks and trivia wrapping up around 7, at which point we encourage members to purchase drinks or food from the establishment, get to know one another, and enjoy the beautiful outdoor venue! This event is free and open to the public, so come on out!
