Welcome to the Monday Central Phoenix Writing Workshop at
Songbird Coffee & Tea House in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. the
Starting Monday, May 22, 2017 This Central Phoenix Writing Workshop will meet in a new venue:

Located on N. 3rd Street just south of E Roosevelt Street. 3rd Street is a one-way street with south bound traffic only. The coffee shop is on the west side of the street. Park in the street or park behind the shop. Access is obtained through the alley on the west side of the coffee shop.

Walk-in guests are welcome at any time.
This group is designed to provide writers with immediate written and verbal feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of their writing. Writers should bring 6-8 printed copies of their work to share with the group. The printed copies permit participants to make direct written comments, while the on site presence permits verbal comments. Stories, poems, essays, novel chapters or segments, non-fiction, fiction, how to topics, reviews, memoirs, screenplays, stage plays, scripts, are all acceptable genre. Keep every genre alive. 6-8 pages, 2000-2500 words works well for this kind of session.
Please know your word count when you arrive.
Individuals are also welcome to observe if they are not ready to share their work for critique
The first 45 minutes (6:15 – 6:45 PM) is a sign-in period and a social, get to know your fellow authors period. Readings and critiques begin promptly at 7:00 PM. During the sign-in period Moderators will divide the writers into 2-4 break-out groups of 4-6 authors.
Parking is available on the west side of the Coffee Shop, accessed through the alley.
