The Rocket Blasters return to The Bar in Boalsburg!

Details

We had a huge turnout and a blast back in February went the Rocket Blasters rocked The Bar in Boalsburg.

Centre Daily Hiker regular Nash is not only an entomologist, ecologist, and keen nature photographer, but the lead guitarist and backup vocalist in the local musical band called The Rocket Blasters.

The Rocket Blasters will be ripping the roof off The Bar on 306 Boal Avenue (Rte. 322) in Boalsburg this coming Friday, Aug. 8th, from 9-11 p.m. We will start gathering at 8 p.m. so that we can hang out, gab, and gossip before the band begins.

The Rocket Blasters describe themselves as "a classic/modern Top-40 Rock band that plays your favorite Rock/Pop hits of the late 1960s, 70s and 80s to today, with a power cord driven Rock, Pop and Glam style."

The venue known simply as The Bar calls itself as a "dive bar," while one reviewer at Yelp describes it as "our local 'Cheers,'" and another at MapQuest as a spot that "offers a casual and welcoming atmosphere for patrons to enjoy drinks and socialize."

The Bar is easy to find: right next door to Kelly's Steak & Seafood, which has a large and conspicuous steer posing on its roof.
