A couple of stories in drug development (藥物研發的故事)
Dr. Mei-Hsiu Ling (中文演講)
Drug development is a lengthy and expensive process. It usually starts with a sound scientific theory. There are extensive experiments in the lab, on animals before a compound can be tested on humans. To bring an effective treatment to patients, it needs to succeed in all the phases of experiments in humans. There are successes and failures. In this session, I will review a couple of recent stories.
