Cancelled till January..Free Pool Lesson, Followed by pool playing social mixer

This Meetup falls on the Weekend of Christmas and unfortunately many people have other plans that will not allow them to be available. Because of this, the Free Lesson and Pool Meetup is cancelled until the January Meetup scheduled for January 18. I will see you all then!!

This is a fun opportunity to play pool and brush up on your pool playing skills with a Free Pool Lesson. After the lesson, everyone is invited to stay for the Pool Playing Social. During the social pool playing we usually rotate players/tables every 15 minutes to allow everyone to play everyone else. There are plenty of tables for everyone so no one has to wait. If you only want to come for the free lesson and leave, that's OK but we hope you'll stay and have fun. If you want to stay and play after the free lesson, there is a $10 flat fee for the table usage. If you want to just hang out and socialize and not play, that's OK too.

Attendance: We have 3 other Meetup groups invited this month, including the Twin City Pool Meetup Group which meets regularly on the 3rd Friday of each month. Usually we have 30 to 50 people show up.

This month we are adding special pricing for the Meetup group.

$3 rail drinks, Captains and Malibus

$5 pizza

Plus our beer of the month is $2.25 Grain Belt Premium and Nordeast bottles

Shooters now has full liquor.

7pm to 8pm Free pool lessons. (Usually runs over as we have so much to talk about)

Specially geared for beginners and first level players, but advanced level players will get a lot out of these lessons too. Get answers to your questions about aiming, banking, cue ball control, stance, position play. Bring any questions you have, we will answer them. All skill levels are invited. Please indicate if you will be there for the lesson. If we have a large group for the lessons we will invite extra guest instructors to help out by creating more (smaller) groups. You will get extra attention during the lessons this way. We usually break into 2 groups for beginner and intermediate. Don't be shy, we all miss shots!

8pm to 12midnight. Twin City Pool Meetup. Get on a table and play! (Socializing Mixer)

All skill levels welcome. We will play randomly to start, then every 15 to 20 minutes we will switch player/tables and play someone new. This will allow everyone to play more people, socialize, have fun, with less emphasis on winning the game. We have plenty of pool tables for everyone so no one has to wait. We will have plenty of extras to make it an even number and to challenge the good players. $10 flat fee for the table rental from 8pm to 12 if you decide to stay and play.

In the past some members wanted to continue the social pool tournament so we will also run it again on adjoining tables for anyone who prefers the tourney instead of the social playing.
